Usage terms for pre-made covers Hey there! If you’re thinking about purchasing one of my pre-made book covers, here’s everything you need to know. This post outlines the terms, what’s included, and how the process works. By purchasing a cover, you agree to these terms, so take a peek before you buy! Please note that if there are any differences between this post and what’s written on the actual service/purchase page, the one on the service page takes precedence! The process: 1. Purchase: You buy the pre-made cover you want and receive a mocked up file.  2. Adjustments: You request your cover adjustments via email or Discord. 3. Customization: I go ahead and customize the cover to match your needs. 4. Revisions: You get 2 rounds of revisions to ensure your adjustments look right. 5. It’s yours! Once you’re happy with the cover, I send over the final files and it’s yours! If you have any questions or want to chat about your project, just reach out! I’ve had people contact me regarding sold covers saying they want something similar, so we can do that too. You can find me on Discord where we can chat in private and I’m happy to explain anything or adjust things to fit your needs. What you get: - A one-of-a-kind cover design (sold only once!) OR A set of book covers in a series design (if applicable) - Customizable with your title and author name - Perfect for a variety of genres—ideal for catching readers’ eyes What’s included: - JPG file/s at 1600x2560px and 300dpi - Delivery within 3 business days (check your spam folder!) - Commercial rights for the finished cover Customizations: - Basic colour corrections (overall) - Switch author and title around - Change proportions Additional customizations available at an extra cost: - Print ready package includes basic customizations +   - Print version of your cover with a back and spine   - Two options for the back and spine design   - Adding a subtitle, series info, or a quote   - Promo version without any text at your desired size   - For an additional $100 - Premium package includes print ready customizations +   - More specific colour changes for individual parts   - Different fonts and font effects   - Audiobook version of your cover   - 5 social media images including cover reveals and mockups   - For an additional $150 (on top of basic fee) Series set note: Some covers are part of a series set. If you’re interested in purchasing only one cover from the set, contact me beforehand to discuss pricing. Individual covers are priced higher than if they were in the set, as they will require more customization to make them different from the set.  Other covers that are not part of a series set can be customized with a series continuation. Contact me to discuss prices and times. How to customize your cover: Once you’ve purchased your cover, here’s what to do: 1. Email me: Send the following details to my email (will get it on purchase) with: - Subject: “[Cover Name] Pre-made Purchase” - Book title - Author name - List of adjustments 2. Receive your cover: - Your customized cover will be delivered within 3 business days - Check your spam folder if you don’t see it in your inbox - You’ll receive a JPG image of the front cover per book Additional services: Need more than just the cover? Here’s what else I can do (at an additional cost): - Series continuation or promo graphics - Custom map design or typesetting to match - Original art for promotional purposes If you’re interested in any of these, let me know, and I’ll provide a quote and timeline. Important notes - Exclusivity: Each cover is sold only once, so no one else will have the same design - Credit: You must credit “Khaos Books” on the copyright page of your book - Restrictions: The cover cannot be resold, redistributed, or used for machine learning - Software:  ibisPaintX, DAZ3D, Blender, Photoshop, Illustrator - AI notice: AI is NOT used in the creation of any of my covers. - Stock: Some of the covers include stock images under the CC0 license - Refunds: Due to the digital nature of this product, refunds are not available Client rights: - Full copyright for the final cover design (print and electronic use) to use as you wish - The right to use the cover for promotional purposes (ex. social media, ads, etc.) - No rights to outside resources used including but not limited to symbols, fonts, and Contractor’s IP Contractor rights: - Portfolio rights to display the cover (including drafts and process materials) - No sharing of original working files (PSD, AI, etc.) without additional fee and agreement - Can switch over the pre-made cover designs from original design to client’s final cover Licenses - Original Art: Any original art included in the cover is created specifically for the design or has been previously created by me. I have the right to use it for other purposes. - Outside Resources: Paid or free resources (fonts, stock photos, etc.) are licensed to their original creators and paid sources cannot be shared individually. - AI Art: I do NOT use AI art in any part of the design process. Termination If you decide to cancel your purchase before customization begins, you may be eligible for a partial refund depending on the work completed.
